But in return, the game promises to deliver something unprecedented: You get to fight a war, not a battle. For those who might not be familiar, Ashes of the Singularity is a brand new RTS IP seeking to combine the scale of games like Supreme Commander or Planetary Annihilation with the nuanced interlocking unit counter system and territory control mechanisms of games like Company of Heroes.Īshes of the Singularity also holds the claim to fame of being one of the first RTS in a very long time to actually push the boundaries of modern technology, utilizing graphics and processing technologies that require a beast of a machine (see the press release Stardock sent us below for more details) at least in this stage of the game’s development.Įxpect to see a lot more coverage from Wayward Strategist regarding Ashes of the Singularity, including an in-depth game overview, as the game matures in Early Access, but for now take a look at this press release and some new screenshots.
